The Hemmer Team once again partnered with Rumpke Waste & Recycling to build a Scale House in Colerain Township, OH. The project supports operational improvements for Rumpke and included detailed site preparation, foundation work, and the construction of a durable, functional scale house.
Site Work:
- Construction of a temporary road and erosion control measures.
- Grading, topsoil redistribution, and cut/fill operations.
- Installation of site utilities, including sanitary, storm sewer, and water services.
- Construction of galvanized guardrails, retaining walls, and scale pits.
- Completion of concrete work for footings, column pads, foundation walls, and slabs with specified materials and reinforcements.
- Exterior lighting, striping, and final landscaping with seeding and straw.
Scale House Construction:
- Wood framing for walls, roof trusses, and shear wall hardware.
- Installation of 24GA Kynar metal wall panels, aluminum windows, and hollow metal doors.
- Interior finishes, including drywall, resilient VCT flooring, and painting.
- Plumbing and HVAC systems, including a Tempstar 1.5-ton air handler, heat pump, and supporting infrastructure.
- Electrical systems to support HVAC, lighting, and other essential fixtures.
