In building construction, Richtfest is a builders’ rite traditionally held when the last beam is placed atop a structure during its construction. The practice can be traced to the ancient Scandinavian tradition of placing a tree atop a new building, which migrated to England, Europe, and now North America.
Hemmer recently celebrated “Richtfest” with HAHN Automation, Inc., when the last beam was placed on the 20,000 sq. ft. addition and renovation currently underway in Hebron, Ky.
