GROVE CITY, Ohio. (March 16, 2015) ? Paul Hemmer Company (Hemmer) is set to lend its expertise constructing distribution centers to a speculative 226,800 s.f. distribution facility in Grove City, Ohio, for VanTrust Real Estate, LLC, (VanTrust).
The project is being developed to meet the market demand for additional distribution space in the Greater Columbus area. This is the seventh speculative industrial building developed by VanTrust since 2012. The facility will be built using precast construction, adding versatility and efficiency.
“We selected the Paul Hemmer Company to build this project due to their expertise with this type of building and their competitive pricing,” said Andy Weeks, Executive Vice President of VanTrust. “This building fills a definite need in the area for modern bulk warehouse space. We expect this project to do very well in Grove City, which has a very pro-business attitude.”
Construction begins this month and is scheduled for completion in mid-August. The site is on Southwest Boulevard in Grove City. This is Paul Hemmer Company’s first construction project with Kansas City-based VanTrust, which has a regional office in Columbus.
The Hemmer team on the project includes Senior Vice Presidents John Curtin and Michael Hemmer; VP Adam Hemmer; Kevin Markesbery, who will serve as Senior Project Manager; and Tim McNay, who will be Superintendent for the project. David Efaw with Columbus-based RED Architecture is coordinating all project design/architecture. Michael Linder and Michael Guagenti with Colliers International are representing VanTrust in marketing and leasing the spec building. Andy Weeks is Executive Vice President for VanTrust.
